The Combined Meeting of 39th IASM and 9th Scientifica 2018 - an international conference organized by the Indian Association of Sports Medicine was held at Pune this year from 2 to 4th February. A whooping 358 national and international delegates got together to pool their knowledge experiences and visions for advancements in the field of sports medicine and physiology.
Dr Ruchi Kothari, Associate professor, Dept of Physiology, MGIMS attended the same and presented her research paper entitled "Study of Physical Fitness of undergraduate medical students as assessed by cardiorespiratory efficiency tests".
Dr. Kothari's paper was adjudged the best winning presentation from amongst the participants in the delegate category. Alongwith the winning trophy she also received a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- for her research presentation.
