Sushil Kumar Kale

Professor

Professor in the department of Radio-diagnosis in MGIMS, Dr Sushilkumar Kale did his graduation and postgraduation from Government Medical College, Aurangabad. After obtaining MD in 1997, he joined as an assistant professor Government Medical College, Nanded and subsequently Government Medical College, Aurangabad. In 2002 he became part of MGIMS family when he joined as associate professor in the department of Radio-diagnosis and rose to become associate professor in 2006. A post graduate guide, he mentored many MD and DMRD students and helped students inculcate vision for radiology.  He has been examiner for several university examinations.

Over the last few years, Dr Kale spent considerable time and efforts for getting several state of the art equipment added to the radiology department: 8-slice CT scan, an ultrasound machine, Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS) and computerized radiography. He also played a pivotal role in the installation of a 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner in the department. His incessant hard work has helped the department grow. A passionate radiologist and a teacher, his area of particular interest include ultrasonographic across the entire spectrum of disciplines.
